Billie Eilish has grown up an awful lot since her dreamy debut ‘Ocean Eyes’. Having delivered a cracking don’t smile at me EP in August which earned her praise from Annie Mac and a spot on James Corden’s show, the 15-year-old is back with low-key ballad ‘bitches broken hearts’. It’s a smokey, slow-burning, sultry number with moody synths clashing with her sharp-edged wit: ‘Everybody knows you and I are suicidal stolen art / pretty moments sews stitches in all your bitches broken hearts’. The track is produced by Emmit Fenn, who has himself being releasing some exceptional music lately. If you were hoping to catch her live, think again – her headline show at Heaven on February 14^th is already completely sold out. -HM
